Hitting
This video to the right demonstrates how to correctly hit every part of the plate. At the end there are just a few clips of me practicing my batting like I would any other day. There is also my dog running in the background.
One thing that was unsuccessful in this project was the tee I was using because the head of it keep falling off.
This is a picture of me timing the pitcher. That means taking dry swings to know how fast you have to swing when up to bat. Doing this technique kinda gives you another pitch because you don't have to worry about timing him for the first pitch. First pitch swings for a lead off man are not often seen, and could end up surprising the defense.
Batting Percentage
This season I have been keeping track of my performance hitting after learning the new techniques that I showed in the video above. Here are my combined statistics for hitting for both The Lakeshore Cardinals and the Frontier Modified team. I feel like I was successful in my training, and applying these techniques to my games.
